 Untitled (Conversation) was originally produced specifically for Harrell Fletcher’s “Come Together” event at LA><ART on January 20, 2007.  This piece is the second video in a series of works using my parent’s old film and slide footage attempting to capture the immigrant experience based on archival material and memory.  A short video of a slideshow made up of photographs taken by the artist’s parents shortly after immigrating to the states in the early 70s.  The soundtrack is an excerpt from a phone conversation between the artist and his father about the Vietnam War and how the war affected the artist’s parents’ decision to stay in America after immigrating here.
